Sisters for Health designs educational programs that teach young girls how to live a life of health and wellness.

Changing the Statistics
Black women have the highest rates heart disease, diabetes, and obesity in the US. Black girls are less active than their counterparts. If we work together we can beat these odds.

We partner with schools, churches and other organizations to reach girls across our community and give them the tools they need to make a lifetime of healthy choices.
Sisters for Health is a proud recipient of a grant from Howard County’s FY26 Youth Engagement Programming (YEP!) Grant Program to support our programs in Columbia, Maryland.
The YEP! Grant Program promotes youth activities and engagement through free, accessible, and supportive programming. Sisters for Health was selected due to our goal of teaching young girls how to live a life of good health and wellness through after-school and weekend programming.
